1. What cookies and similar technologies are
Cookies are small text files stored by a browser. Similar technologies include local storage, pixels, and scripts that remember settings or help a website understand how it is used. Some are necessary for a requested feature; others are optional and require a choice where applicable.
2. What this site uses
| Technology | Purpose | Category | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| usherdesk_cookie_consent_v1 (local storage) | Remembers whether optional analytics were accepted or rejected and when the choice was made. | Necessary preference | Up to 6 months, then we ask again. |
| Website analytics script and related identifiers | Measures visits, viewed pages, referrers, device or browser details, and basic interaction patterns so we can understand site performance. | Optional analytics | Loaded only after acceptance; provider identifiers may persist according to the analytics service configuration. |
3. Necessary storage
The consent preference is necessary to remember your choice and prevent the notice from appearing on every page. Rejecting optional analytics does not stop this preference from being stored. The site may also use short-lived technical storage required for security, network delivery, or a feature you request.
4. Optional analytics
Optional analytics do not load until you choose “Accept optional”. If accepted, the analytics service may receive the page URL, page title, referrer, browser language, screen size, device or browser information, visit or session identifiers, and network information such as an IP address. We use this information to understand aggregate website use and diagnose performance.
If you reject optional analytics, the analytics script is not added by our consent manager. If you later withdraw consent, the page reloads to stop the active analytics script and remove known analytics identifiers where the browser permits.
5. Your controls
Use “Cookie settings” in the footer at any time to accept or reject optional analytics. You may also delete browser cookies and site data or configure the browser to block storage. Blocking all storage can prevent a site from remembering your preference and may affect requested functions.
6. External resources
The website may request resources such as fonts from external providers. Those providers may receive ordinary network and device information needed to deliver the resource. Links to other websites are governed by those websites’ own policies.
7. Changes and contact
We may update this policy when technologies or providers change. The effective date identifies the latest version. Questions may be sent to hello@usherdesk.com.
